I think that when it comes to having a good introductory paragraph, you need to have your ideas focused and ready to present for explanation later in the paper. The Body paragraphs should be introduced in the intro as well as having a good attention-getter towards the beginning. If you dont have a strong intro, the likelihood that your paper will be strong and well developed is much lower than if it IS a stong intro.
